What PRIVI is
PRIVI is a membership platform from PatientFi, launched in April 2023, for non-surgical aesthetic treatments. Instead of paying a large bill at each visit, you pay a monthly amount for a yearly treatment plan built by your provider. Plans can include neurotoxin, filler, skincare and body treatments.
It is not a loan. A PatientFi loan finances one charge, such as a surgery, and you repay it in installments. A PRIVI membership is a recurring plan for treatments you expect to repeat, such as injectables every few months, paid as you go through the year.
How a PRIVI membership works
Your provider builds the plan
Practices use PRIVI’s cloud-based portal to design memberships around their own treatments, pricing and perks.
You join and pay monthly
The membership spreads the cost of your annual plan into monthly payments.
The practice is paid as treatments happen
According to the launch announcement, participating providers receive payment in full when treatments are rendered, while you keep paying the monthly amount.
Book and get reminders
PRIVI includes scheduling tools and automatic reminders so you keep up with regular treatments.
Earn rewards
Practices can add incentives and rewards. Through a partnership with Galderma, some members can also earn points in the ASPIRE Galderma Rewards program.
PRIVI vs a PatientFi loan
| Feature | PRIVI membership | PatientFi loan |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Recurring treatments like injectables | One larger procedure |
| How you pay | Monthly membership fee | Monthly loan payments |
| Structure | Annual treatment plan set by the practice | Installment loan per charge |
| Interest | Check your membership terms | Fixed APR, or deferred-interest 0% promotion |
| Where it works | Only at the practice that sold the membership | At the enrolled provider that sends the charge |
Is a membership cheaper than paying per visit?
It depends on how often you actually go. PRIVI does not publish standard prices, because each practice sets its own plans. A simple way to check any offer:
| Step | Example for illustration only |
|---|---|
| 1. Price the visits you would book anyway | 4 visits a year at $450 = $1,800 |
| 2. Add products you would buy anyway | Skincare $300 = $2,100 total |
| 3. Multiply the monthly fee by 12 | $165 a month = $1,980 |
| 4. Compare, then subtract what you might skip | If you would realistically book only 3 visits, the plan costs more than paying per visit |
A membership saves money when it includes discounts or extras on treatments you were going to get anyway, and when you use all of it. It costs more when life gets busy and visits are missed but the monthly fee keeps running.
Questions to ask before you join
- What exactly is included each year, and are units or syringes capped?
- Do unused treatments roll over, expire, or convert to credit?
- Is there a minimum commitment, and what happens if I cancel early?
- Can I pause the membership if I move, become pregnant or have a medical reason to stop treatment?
- Is there any finance charge, or is it a plain monthly fee?
Canceling a PRIVI membership
PatientFi’s help center includes an article on canceling a PRIVI membership, and cancellation terms can differ by practice because each practice designs its own plan. Read the membership agreement before you sign, keep a copy, and ask the practice to confirm cancellation in writing.
Why practices offer it
For a med spa, a membership turns one-time patients into regular ones and smooths monthly revenue. PatientFi’s CEO has said practices like it because it keeps patients coming back. That is not a bad thing for you, but it is a reason to judge the plan on your own habits rather than the sales pitch.
Frequently asked questions
Is PRIVI the same as PatientFi financing?
No. PRIVI is a membership for recurring treatments. PatientFi financing is an installment loan for a specific charge. Both come from the same company.
How much does a PRIVI membership cost?
There is no standard price. Each practice builds its own PRIVI plans, so the monthly fee depends on the treatments included. Compare the yearly total with what you would pay per visit.
Can I cancel PRIVI?
PatientFi’s help center covers canceling a PRIVI membership, but terms can vary by practice. Check your agreement for minimum commitments and get cancellation confirmed in writing.
