Who we are
PatientFiLoan is an independent consumer guide to PatientFi and patient financing. Our content is researched and written by the PatientFiLoan editorial team. We publish under a shared team byline and do not use invented author identities or credentials. Every figure on the site links to the source it came from, so readers can check our work.
We are not PatientFi, we are not a lender, and we are not paid by PatientFi. We cannot see or change anyone’s PatientFi account.
Our editorial standards
- Primary sources first. Facts about PatientFi come from its own website, help center, disclosures and press releases, and from regulators like the CFPB. We link to every source.
- Competing claims are labeled. When companies disagree, such as on approval rates, we show both figures and say who published each.
- No invented numbers. We do not publish made-up ratings, review counts or testimonials. Examples are labeled as examples.
- Dated reviews. Each page shows when it was last reviewed. Key figures are rechecked on a monthly schedule, and changes are recorded in our update log.
How we score PatientFi
Our PatientFi review uses five weighted factors: application experience (20%), loan amounts and terms (20%), cost clarity including deferred interest (25%), access and availability (15%), and customer service based on patterns in public complaints and responses (20%). Cost clarity carries the most weight because it has the biggest effect on what patients actually pay.
How we make money
This site includes a loan-finder form operated by a third-party lending network. We may be paid when a visitor submits the form or accepts an offer. That payment does not affect our PatientFi review, our scores, or which facts we include. Read our full advertiser disclosure.
