How to use the PatientFi calculator
Fixed-rate plan shows your monthly payment, total interest and a full payment schedule for a standard PatientFi installment loan. Enter the amount, the APR from your offer and the term. PatientFi terms can run as long as 84 months, but a longer term means more total interest.
0% promo check is built for PatientFi’s deferred-interest promotions. It tells you the payment needed to clear the balance in time, what would be left at the deadline with your planned payment, and an estimate of the back interest that could be added if you fall short.
Reading your results
- Needed per month is the balance divided by the promotional months. Paying this or more avoids deferred interest, as long as payments post on time.
- Left at deadline is the balance remaining after your planned payments.
- Estimated interest added approximates interest on the monthly balance since the purchase date at your agreement’s APR. Your lender’s method may differ slightly.
Comparing plans? Run the same amount through both tabs. If the fixed-rate total interest is lower than the deferred interest you would owe by missing the promotion, and you are not certain you can pay on time, the fixed-rate plan is the safer choice. Our deferred interest page has worked examples and a printable 0% plan checklist.
Frequently asked questions
What APR should I enter for PatientFi?
Enter the APR printed on your PatientFi offer or loan agreement. PatientFi lists APRs from 6.99% to 32.99%, with the lowest rate reserved for excellent credit and autopay. For a 0% promotion, enter the APR your agreement says applies if the promotion is not met.
How do I calculate the payment to avoid PatientFi deferred interest?
Divide the amount financed by the number of promotional months and round up to the next cent. For example, $6,000 over 12 months is $500 a month. The 0% promo tab does this for you.
Is the calculator result a loan offer?
No. It is an estimate for planning. Real payments depend on your approved APR, term, fees and payment timing.
